    The Hospitality Starter course is perfect for school leavers or those attending school wanting to get into the hospitality workforce.

    As well as learning the main skills an employer looks for (greeting customers, customer etiquette and carrying and clearing plates), the course also teaches students about what pay rate to expect, what to look out for in terms of inappropriate dodgy employers.

    You will also learn how to format your resume and cover letter to show that yes you’re a school leaver or student, but how you have gained the necessary skills to be a valuable employee.

  • Hospitality in Australia can be different to other parts of the world.

    In Australia, customers like to be verbally greeted, attended to regularly and have their expectations exceeded. This can be challenging for internationals when they arrive in Australia as it may be is different to customer service expectations in their home country.

    This course will enable students to be confident in their ability to serve customers whilst having foundational skills that will start or further their job in hospitality.
